Transportation Forum
Join the Downtown BIZ this November at three forums that will highlight issues such as downtown safety, housing and transportation. Understanding the needs and priorities of our downtown residents, and residents of the city as a whole, is central to creating a downtown that is a more vibrant, clean, safe and green community.
Roads Forward Mapped Out
The City of Winnipeg would like to spend approximately $5 billion over the next 20 years to complete four rapid-transit lines, build a ring road inside the Perimeter and make it easier to move goods in and out of the CentrePort trade hub.
Green Graffiti Machine
The world’s most advanced green cleaning system is coming to downtown Winnipeg to fight graffiti–the first municipality in Canada to adopt the new system. The Downtown BIZ and City of Winnipeg each will now be using a brand new 100% eco friendly graffiti removal machine to keep our city clean and beautiful.
Peggy Wins Award!
Downtown Peggy has gone global. The Downtown BIZ’s spunky downtown character has been recognized internationally with a Downtown Pinnacle Award at the International Downtown Association Annual Conference and Tradeshow in South Carolina this September.
