 Newly opened in June of 2008 and located at 350 Portage, Rinkside Restaurant and Bar is the newest hot spot for lunch, dinner or a place to grab a drink. Being within a block from the MTS Centre, the new bar and grill is the perfect place to hang out before and after an event. Don‘t be fooled by the name, Rinkside Restaurant and Bar is not just another sports bar. Although four HD TVs are a focal point in the bar, the restaurant has a contemporary and relaxing atmosphere complete with hardwood floors, unique furnishings and of course great food. Part owner and Red Seal Chef, Alfred Chan will be opening the restaurant in June with his master culinary skills and ensures every customer will get their dollar’s worth. The menu will consist of healthy sandwiches, salads and wraps for lunch, and a variety of hot entrees for dinner. Keeping in mind the tight schedules downtown workers can have, Chan arranged take-out lunch specials.
