New York style living in Downtown Winnipeg
A former downtown hotel is in the midst of a makeover into executive apartment suites targeted to young professionals. The former York the Hotel (before that, the Sheraton Hotel) on Donald Street is being revamped to the tune of $18 million by B & M Land. The high-rise apartment block will have 180 suites and will feature a cafe, restaurant and fitness facility. Monthly rent will start at around $900 a month for a 850-square-foot unit.
