Every Thursday from 12pm-2pm from March 4 – April 29, chess players will make their best moves against opponents in Kennedy Court at Portage Place.

A chess pro will be on hand to give a guiding hand, and weekly prizes will be awarded to tournament winners. Walk-ups are welcome, but get there early because seats fill up quickly. All prizes are donated by local businesses.
Hosted by Downtown Winnipeg BIZ and the Manitoba Chess Association, Chess in the Court is the winter edition of the summer Chess in the Park tournaments in Air Canada Park.
