Every Friday from 12pm-2pm from June 5 – August 13, 2010 chess players made their best moves against opponents in Air Canada Park at Portage Avenue and Carlton Street.



A chess pro will be on hand to give a guiding hand, and weekly prizes will be awarded to tournament winners. Walk-ups are welcome, but get there early because seats fill up quickly. All prizes are donated by local businesses.
Hosted by Downtown Winnipeg BIZ and the Manitoba Chess Association, Chess in the Park is the summer edition of the winter Chess in the Court tournaments in Portage Place.
