Whether scrubbing graffiti off a brick wall or planting colourful flowers, the BIZ's maintenance coordinator, with  Downtown Maintenance Crew members and four BIZ Patrol in the summer, keeps downtown gleaming. Businesses also pitch in, competing in the Neon Broom Program.

77 businesses received free neon brooms over the summer, encouraging them to keep their sidewalks and storefronts clean, with three winning the Order of the Neon Broom
