DOWNTOWN windows become a gallery for young imaginations, showcasing the works of talented Manitoba students in kindergarten to Grade 12. Come explore the colourful creations brightening downtown lobbies and businesses. Don’t miss the vibrant banners decorating Portage Avenue, also painted by young artists.
YOUNG ARTISTS ON THE AVENUE is an annual urban art gallery displaying children’s creations, brought to you by the Downtown BIZ and our
generous sponsors.
Students and teachers kicked-off the art exhibit at IMAX on April 23th. Students’ artwork will adorn downtown windows, indoor walkways, lobbies and storefronts until June 11. Locations are mainly along Portage Avenue from Spence to Main streets and can be seen from the street or in the indoor walkway system. Site locations include Investors Group’s lobby, the Canadian Western Bank and Trust and Don’s Photo, as well as indoor spaces like IMAX Theatre.
